Over the past few weeks I have been looking at different negative blog spots which I will not promote on my blog that have issues with Jon and Kate. Unfortunately when it comes to the issues that they have I find that most if not 90% of them are trivial. There are blogs about the t-shirts they wear (which I happen to like) and about how much blush Kate has etc.
I have found one site that is trying to bring neutrality to the subject. It is called "The Gosselins Do Not Need Our Pity". I like this site because the people may like or not like the Gosselins there is no name calling or mudslinging to their point across. I commend this blog for trying to bring a fair balance and I feel that the other blog spots are not giving them a fair shake. If you would like to check it out you can go to http://gosselinsdonotneedourpity.blogspot.com/.
With that said, I would like to throw in my own two cents about three sites in particular. One is made by Jodi's sister. Whom may have inside knowledge nor not. But I would like to say that if she were in my family and felt the need to tell the world about MY personal business I would cut her out as well. It is not anyone's business what goes on inside the family. My parents taught me that long ago. And if her sister was so hurt by this, then why isn't Jodi blogging. My personal belief is that Jodi wants to let this go but no one around her (i.e. her sister) is letting it go. As for the others that say they are "close" to Jon and Kate, I am sorry if you got your feelings hurt but as a teacher once told me "grow thicker skin and grow up". It is harsh, but true. If you get mad everytime someone hurts you, you will never grow as a person. It happens. Get over it. If I cried foul everytime someone wasn't greatful for what I did for them then I would never grow as a person or as a Christian. As for the other hateful site out there. There's not much I can say. Those people are mean, vindictive, and obviously want to personally attack the Gosselins. To make fun of the kids and talk about trivial things such as what they are wearing, makeup, etc. does nothing for child advocacy. They can spout off that they have PhD's, Masters, etc. But having one myself, I would never reduce myself to this type of name calling or letting anyone do it on my site without reminding them what the site was intended for.
Lastly, I would like to commend another site that I found. It's called My Jon and Kate Plus 8 website, it can be found at http://theanti-gosselinswithoutpity.blogspot.com/. This site reminds me of why I began watching the show in the first place and why I fell in love with the show. Please take the time to visit these two sites and hopefully you will see why you fell in love with the show too.

Wow! Another Gosselin blog! There a lot out there, do you agree?
You mention "the other hateful site" (I know who you mean.) You call the people "mean, vindictive," but then three sentences later write, " I would never reduce myself to this type of name calling." Isn't that name calling?
I was hoping to find a site that didn't resort to those kind of attacks. I am interested in the Gosselin controversy...especially the Aunt Jodi thing.
I do think the Gosselins are more human than the other site gives them credit for. There is NO WAY the kids are abused. IMO Aunt Jodi should definitely be in their lives. I feel worst about that, for the kids. I hate when adults disagree, but the kids end up hurt. Hopefully, that will be resolved.
I don't care if the Gosselins are "doing damage control." If Kate is calming down because of criticism, then she should get some credit for that!
What's your take on the "filming the tups in underwear?"
Thank you for calling my attention to the name calling. I do apologize for that. I wrote it in the heat of the moment and reduced myself to what I myself hate to see on those sites. I am sorry.
I hope you will continue to visit my site because I do want to bring a balanced view and quit harping on what other people are saying.
I hope to give you my take on Aunt Jodi and filming the tups in underwear.
Yeah..... you support at least one of the two sites that says they "hate" the GWoP on the header of the blog. Guilt by association, anyone?
Oh, I'm right there with you. Whenever a seemingly obscure celebrity type appears on the news, my husband turns to me and asks -- so who is that, and what's his/her story. I sometimes pretend not to know, but really, I usually do. On the Gosselins (Jon and Kate et al) -- let me know if you find out more about the absent grandparents and help my mom and I out, because it really bothers us. In return I'll share all the useless info I've procured on Dog the Bounty Hunter and his many many children.
