The Gosselin's give back and end the year with the greatest gift of all...giving.

I can't believe it's already a week and some days before Christmas. I don't know about anyone else but holidays always increase my anxiety, stress, and well my thinking for that matter. But in all this stress watching this week of Jon and Kate really brought me back to the reason why Christmas is one of my favorite holidays.

I am very glad that they highlighted St. Jude's Hospital this week as well as teaching their children how to give. I have yet to go to the hater sites because I really don't want to get annoyed with any spin that they may put on this. I really liked this episode. I don't know about anyone else but it really warmed my heart to see the kids buying and wrapping gifts to all the children who are at St. Jude. Jon and Kate really put forth the effort to show their children the meaning of Christmas and that is always good to see. I am trying to teach my own the importance of giving through Toys For Tots this year. My middle child has really gotten into this.

Anyway, even though this was another show about them traveling, this to me was very different. And I don't know about anyone else but I was so glad to see Beverly. ( I am so glad to see that it was pointed out that she MOVED and that Kate had not kicked her out of the kids life to because she didn't fold the clothes right.) It was good to see the kids bonding with Beverly and her husband.
Kate, I can understand your frustration with wanting to wrap gifts and get them over with at the same time having to deal with the kids wanting to play with them too. It was nice to see her letting go and trying to let everyone be involved no matter what was happening.

I do have a lot more to say, but I will leave that for another entry that I am in the middle of writing. Anyway, I really can't stop talking about how much I like the episode. I am really looking forward to watching it again tomorrow night. I hope they show the other Christmas shows closer to Christmas. I love the episode were they carol and open gifts. It reminds me of my family. (The eating, cooking, and opening gifts part. Not caroling...if my family and I went caroling only the dogs would join in. Yes we are that bad :). )

Did you like this episode or was it just a typical "look at me" episode? (I guess you already know my answer.)

I am always happy to see the wonderful work of St. Judes shown on TV but the money from airfare and Peabody stay would have made a nice donation.

Add to that list the money they made from filming the episode.

It was a moving episode that embodied the spirit of Christmas. Bravo for TLC and the Gosselins for thinking of it no matter what people with tiny little Grinch hearts may say.

FYI - the name of the hospital is St. Jude not St. Jude's.
