Kate's Meatloaf
(makes 10 slices)
2 pounds organic ground beef
2-3 eggs
Finely chopped (I use food processor on pulse) celery, onion, green pepper, carrots- about 3/4-1 cup of each.
About 1½-2 cups of breadcrumbs- Italian seasoned if on hand. Otherwise, plain works too. May need more breadcrumbs depending on the consistency of the meatloaf.
About 3/4 cup shredded or grated Parmesan cheese (whichever's on hand).
About ¼ to ½ cup ketchup.
About 2 teaspoons of Italian seasoning
About 1 teaspoon of garlic salt
Mix all the ingredients together in a large mixing bowl and divide equally into two separate meat loaves. Add a squirt of ketchup to the top of each in a zig-zaggy design. I cover with foil and bake in either a meatloaf pan or a glass bread baking dish at 350 degrees for about an hour (depending on oven) or until bubbly and center is no longer pink.During the last 15 minutes or so, I remove foil covering and finish baking uncovered. When there's leftovers (usually I have about half a loaf left over) I put a slice between wholegrain bread with some mayo and ketchup swirled together (a la French dressing!), and a slice of lettuce and tomato too for a delicious meatloaf sandwich for the next day!Yummy!Recipe courtesy of Kate Gosselin.

Mix all the dry ingredients together. (I usually sift mine, it makes the pancake fluffier). Make a well in the middle of the dry ingredients. Set aside. Mix all the wet ingredients together. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and mix together. Than using a 1/4 cup or 1/3 cup measuring cup pour batter onto a non-stick skillet or griddle. If you want to pour it out that's fine too.

i tried the chicken cheese steaks and OMG, they are so very yummy! i added some seasonings to the mean while it cooked, garlic powder, parsley, oregano, and used a flavored tomato sauce. they were so very good!
On a recent episode, Jon was painting and putting together new beds for the kids. It was a Saturday and Kate was fixing lunch. She made the tomato and onion salad listed above (thanks by the way), but she was also serving humus on pita. Does she have a special recipe for her humus. I have looked and it seems there are many. I have never tried it but it actually sounded pretty yummy and mostly healthy. Thanks for any help you can offer.
I have read the recipes..They are not hers as they are on allrecipes.com and other sites.
Buns using premade biscuits?
Can't wait for this cookbook! I remember that Jerry Seinfeld's wife had a problem "borrowing" recipes..
If you do not know the basic chicken noodle soup recipe buy Campbell's and add veg's...
Thanks for posting the recipes she uses!
I couldn't care less if Kate "borrowed" the recipes or made them up herself... if they are quick, easy & good recipes then I'm all for it!
I'll be honest, I HATED HATED HATED cooking... period! If I can find a recipe my 16, 15 and 14 yr old daughters can make without much fuss... YEAH BABY!
As the mum of 9, I don't have time to stand in front of the stove all day... if it can't be made in less then 45 minutes it isn't gonna be made!(Unless it's in the Crock Pot!)
Thanks Kate... You Rock, Chick!

Thanks, Kate, for taking time out of your busy schedule to post these recipes for us. I noticed some critical comments and that perhaps similar recipes exist elsewhere -- I think there is a difference in the way Kate prepares hers, often organically and often with her own special touch -- stop criticizing such a wonderful mom as Kate going to all the trouble (which she doesn't have to do) to feed her children organic, simple and nutritious meals which all of her kids will actually eat -- I so appreciate the recipes, even the more simple ones -- I don't have to try to figure them out exactly the way I see Kate make them on TV and I will be looking forward to buying her cookbook when she has time to write one. I am a huge fan, Kate, please keep more recipes and great shows coming! Watching you on TV has made a positive difference in my household.

I'd like to have the Harvest Chicken (I believe it was) that Kate left for Jon to reheat on one of her trips, if possible. Thanks!
To much drama for me! Kate and Jon keep up the good work and forget the drama, sometimes people forget the true mean of family.
Sorry you both have have to put with the drama! Sometimes people are jealous of other people good fortune and don't see things the correct way!
Is there any way you can get the recipe for the fried rice Jon made for the korean dinner? It sounds so delicious.
Yeah I to would like the fried rice recipe!!!
I Love Jon & Kate Make 8, but sometimes Kate treats Jon like a dog. She degrades him something awful. He seems like a perfect husband and father. I would love to have the Chinese fried rice recipe, the Kimchi, spicy peppered cabbage and the Pulkogi recipe. The beef recipe posted here doesn't sound like it's the right one. It's an Asian BBQ beef recipe.
I think Jon and Kate have their hands full. Being from a family of 6 I know what the twins feel like. I have a twin sister, Jacklyn and my younger triplet brothers Micheal, Andrew and Hunter at the age of 3 when my mom had Kaley and Madison. jacklyn and I were always the oldest. I know how it feels.
I just don't understand how Mady and Cara could take it. I had 2 younger twin brothers Franklin and Daniel and a little sister Hannah. I always wonder if other family's could take the crazyness...
I am a father of 4 and I think it SO stressful. My kids, Megyn and Julie like to watch your show. i see it and I wonder.... how do the do it? My sons Ashford and Emit think they have their hands full.
I wonder how they potty train them. I have a 3 year old who hates using the potty. Alexis likes to go in her pants. I use my older son, Aaron to us but nothing is happening... what should I do!!
katie :0
I child has bad toilet habits. Look up on Google and see what they say. Personally.... ask your doctor. By the time she is 4 she really should be potty trained.
tell her is the boss.:0
Let her do it and see how she feels. Wetting her pants in 1st grade. That happened with my son nut in 2nd. He pooed in his pants and got So embarrsed. He know goes on the toilet.
